We devote our energies to developing and designing for a handful of content management systems, those systems that we believe are best suited to the type of clients we hope to attract. No web developer can possibly be expected to know everything there is to know about each and every CMS out there, not even the more popular of them. By confining our focus to just a few, we can ensure that one of them will be a good fit for your needs and that we can execute the design and implement all the features with a minimum of effort, thereby giving you the most efficient use of your web design dollars. Isn’t that part of what it’s all about?
Rather than being a jack of all trades, but master of none, Pixelita Designs prefers to concentrate on mastering a select few content management systems and applications. While this may keep us from undertaking projects for systems not on our “short list,” in the long run, it helps us deliver the highest quality of service to our clients. If we don’t design for the CMS that you have in mind, no worries. We’ll be happy to refer you to one of our talented colleagues who does. Currently, we have expertise in the design, coding, installation and maintenance of the following programs.
- CMS Made Simple (primary focus)
- Chyrp
- Concrete5
- Expression Engine
- Get Simple CMS (primary focus)
- Gelato CMS (for Tumblogs)
- MovableType
- PHP Website
- PixelPost (for photoblogs) (primary focus)
- Simple Machines Forum (forum software) (primary focus)
- sNews (primary focus)
- Textpattern
- WordPress (primary focus)
- Zen Photo (photo gallery software)
Popular Systems We Do Not Support
- Blogger
- Although we have released many free themes for use with the legacy version of Blogger, we no longer focus on Blogger design and would be happy to recommend you to one of our colleagues who does, or urge you to consider an alternative blogging platform such as WordPress or TextPattern.
- GreyMatter
- Due to its many security flaws and lack of recent updating, although we love Greymatter, we discourage anyone from using it and therefore will not design or code for it. If you have an existing Greymatter blog, we encourage you to convert it to WordPress, Textpattern or any of the other currently popular blogging applications.
- Joomla!/Mambo
- We have several colleagues who are well-versed in Joomla!, and we will happily refer you to them if you desire a Joomla!-powered web site.
- pMachine
- We have several colleagues who are well-versed in pMachine, and we will happily refer you to them if you desire a pMachine-powered web site.
