Recommended Hosting Companies
- AdriaHost
- AdriaHost (https://www.adriahost.com) is based in Belgrade, Serbia, and is owned and operated by colleagues (and friends) of my business partner. They handled the migration of five of my clients when I stopped offering my own web hosting back in January 2010. Each of those five clients is still with them, a testament to their reliability and excellent customer service. And several more clients have joined, on my recommendation. AdriaHost focuses on WordPress hosting and its principals are well-versed in threat management and server security. They are often aware of problems before they get out of hand. The fact that they are seven hours ahead of us in the U.S. timewise is also very handy, since they are up and working while we here in the States are still sleeping.
- Arvixe
- Arvixe (https://www.arvixe.com) provides quality service at the lowest prices possible, all while meeting the needs of every customer regardless of their expertise. From their web site: We are a very developer friendly web hosting firm. If it’s simply a tool that your website is going to use, we’ll make sure that you have it on the server. We will go as far as possible unless the request compromises the security or the integrity of our service.
- DreamHost
- DreamHost (https://www.dreamhost.com/hosting/wordpress/) has been around for 18 years, and is known for making web hosting easy. You get custom dashboard, 1-click WordPress install, automatic WordPress updates, unlimited space, unlimited bandwidth and free SSDs which makes your site 200% faster. DreamHost powers over 600,000 WordPress blogs and websites. There are no setup fees, and you also get a free domain.
- InMotion
- InMotion hosting (https://www.inmotionhosting.com) has been a well-known industry brand with reliable performance for business class hosting. With award winning technical support and 99.9% uptime, they are a user favorite. Their unmatched U.S. based support is always there to help. InMotion Hosting’s WordPress Hosting is optimized for active bloggers, and offers great scalability for your blog’s growth. Now comes with Free SSL!
- Pressable
- Pressable (https://pressable.com/) is a shared hosting company (they also do have cloud options) that is focused on providing customers with good WordPress hosting. Since WordPress is the most popular content management system on the web today, some hosting companies are offering hosting focused on this CMS. This can be very helpful, especially for customers who don’t want to deal with the hosting side of things and just want to work on their site. They have been in business since 2010 and are based in Texas. While the company is quite small, they do offer their services to a lot of customers and have been building a good reputation so far.
- SiteGround
- SiteGround (https://www.siteground.com) is one of the most popular WordPress hosts and are very well recognized in the WordPress community. They provide unique in-house WordPress speed and security solutions to make your site as fast and secure as possible. They have one of the best 24/7 support in the industry. They also offer automatic upgrades, built-in WP caching, CDN, one-click staging and GIT version control. They are one of the few companies offering location specific hosting with 3 data centers in USA, Europe, and Singapore.
- We are Siteground affiliates so if you like, you can purchase web hosting through our affiliate link here.
Joni Mueller has been designing web sites for hire since 2003, when she first blew up her web host’s server by insisting on running Greymatter. Since then, Joni has designed for Blogger and Movable Type, TextPattern, WordPress and CMS Made Simple. She lives with her cat and shoe collection in a bucolic old section of Houston called Idylwood. For some strange reason, Joni likes to refer to herself in the third person. When she’s not working on web design, she’s ordering lawyers around. And blogging about it. Or both.
Thanks for sharing the list of hosting sites.
